As a result of the new regulation regarding protection of animals used for testing and other scientific purposes, including teaching (RD 53/2013), ), it is mandatory to request authorization from the body that has jurisdiction to carry out projects in which animals are used, in our case this is the JCCM Council for Agriculture.
Requests for authorization to the body that has jurisdiction may be processed online, or in person by means of the different registration offices.
Requests must come with the CEEA assessment reports and the OH chosen by the researcher, and a descriptive report about the project. In this case, the model proposed by the authorized body may be sent or the CEEA-OH request form.
Moreover, if they are type II and III projects, the request must come with a non technical summary of the research project.
Once the request has been sent to the authorized body, the period for answering and notifying the interested party will be 40 working days. In the authorization the validity period will be included and the need to carry out a retrospective assessment or not will be stated, and if this is the case, the deadline for presenting this will be given.
In the process for the request for authorization of the project a series of forms will needed to be filled in, whose links appear below:
(The parties interested in obtaining documents in an editable format, may get in touch with the CEEA secretary at the following email address: juliamaria.samos@uclm.es)
To obtain the assessment reports both from the Ethics Committee and the Authorized Body, the interested party must send the signed assessment request by one of two channels. By post to the following address:
- Vice-chancellor´s office for Research and Scientific Policy, Avenida de España s/n
Edificio José Prat. Campus Universitario s/n , Albacete. 02071
-
Or by email to:
vic.investigacion@uclm.es , in this case, do not forget to write, "request for CEEA-OH assessment" in the subject line of the message and below this the name of the researcher.
Deadlines: Once these have been checked, and if the assessment is positive, the reports both from the CEEA and the OH will be sent to the interested party in the following 15 days approximately. If any section needs to be clarified or if additional information must be provided this period may be longer.
Note: : for any queries regarding completing the form, consultation on the experimental protocol and carrying out an initial review of the application form (before sending it officially) you may get in touch with the CEEA secretary, using the telephone extension 2275 or at the following email address:
